Things May Be Looking Up

I finally was able to secure a face-to-face interview with a local company. Will wonders never cease? I was beginning to think that I'd never get past the horrific "phone screen" process!! I started to imagine they could mysteriously see through the phone that I was older than "21" and heavier than "115 pounds". Boy, I really need to get back to work.

I should know something by June 1st, so stay tuned. If this one falls through, I'm definitely going for the greeter position at Wal-Mart.

BTW...change of subject but thought you might like the latest "movie reviews". It's a new feature for my blog (haha).

Star Trek is great, especially if you're ancient enough (like me) to remember the original Star Trek series. So, don't miss that one. I'm still on the fence with Angels and Demons. I just don't think it had the suspense of The DaVinci Code. Perhaps I prefer movies that debunk religion rather than rescue it. The new Transformers movie looks interesting, as well as Night at the Museum, Smithsonian and Wolverine. I'll let you know how those turn out on my next post.

The Job Hunt Continues

Why is it so difficult to find a job in San Antonio? And, if I hear the words "You're overqualified" one more time I think I'll scream. I have to admit that being at home has it's advantages until it's time to pay bills then it becomes a pain in the tushie.

I hope things pick up soon. Let's face it, you can only dust the furniture so many times a day before you begin to wear off the finish.

Enough ranting for this evening. Tomorrow is another day and we'll see what challenges it holds. Maybe the coffee maker will explode!! That should be good for a few hours of clean-up excitement.
